Honcho Pickleball League! The Finest League in the Nation!

HTX Season 2
is officially underway!

Learn About Honcho Pickleball:

The Premier Amateur Pickleball League stretching aggressively across the nation!

At Honcho, we are responsible for administering, seeding, ranking, scheduling, playoffs, venue-relations, management, accountability, and more of a group of league participants playing pickleball in a league setting.

Different than most leagues, each team and their opponent for that week has one full week to determine a day/time/location (either a court that Honcho provides or a court of their choosing) to play their opponent throughout that 7 day period, before the following week starts. All managed through our custom league software.

6 weeks of regular season game-play. Then 2 weeks of playoffs.

This approach allows for super flexibility with everyone’s busy travel/work/vacation/family lives, yet allows for consistent weekly gameplay with new and old friends in your community!

How to play:

1. Serving: The serve must be made diagonally, starting from the right-hand service square. The serve must clear the non-volley zone (aka: "the kitchen"), and the ball must bounce once in the opponent's court. Each player serves until they commit a fault, and then the serve passes to the opposing team.

2. Volleys: After the ball has bounced once on each side of the net, both teams can either volley the ball in the air without letting it bounce or play it after it has bounced. Volleys are not allowed within the the kitchen.

3. Double Bounce Rule: When receiving the serve, the receiving team must let the ball bounce before returning it. After the return, the serving team must also let the ball bounce before hitting a volley. This double bounce rule applies to both sides at the beginning of each point.

4. Non-Volley Zone (the kitchen): The kitchen is a 7-foot area on both sides of the net. Players cannot hit a volley while standing inside the kitchen unless the ball has bounced outside of it.

5. Scoring: Points are scored only by the serving team. If the serving team wins a rally, they score a point and the same server continues serving. Games are usually played to 11 or 15 points, and players must win by at least two points.
