League Overview

Honcho Pickleball League is the premier amateur pickleball league & we are rapidly expanding our league to cities across the USA.

We're responsible for administering all operational aspects of successful league play including managing venue & sponsor relationships, scheduling, scoring, ranking and skill evaluations among many other responsibilities.

 Why Honcho?

Honcho stands out from many local pickleball leagues by simplifying the process of finding days & times to coordinate match times via our league software & PVPs. Need more reasons why you should play Honcho. We also offer:

 Pickleball Rules

 How to play:

1

Serving

The serve must be made diagonally, starting from the right-hand service square. The serve must clear the non-volley zone (aka: "the kitchen"), and the ball must bounce once in the opponent's court. Each player serves until they commit a fault, and then the serve passes to the opposing team.

3

Double Bounce

Rule

When receiving the serve, the receiving team must let the ball bounce before returning it. After the return, the serving team must also let the ball bounce before hitting a volley. This double bounce rule applies to both sides at the beginning of each point.

Scoring

Points are scored only by the serving team. If the serving team wins a rally, they score a point and the same server continues serving. Games are usually played to 11 or 15 points, and players must win by at least two points.

2

Volleys

After the ball has bounced once on each side of the net, both teams can either volley the ball in the air without letting it bounce or play it after it has bounced. Volleys are not allowed within the the kitchen.

4

Non-Volley Zone

(the kitchen)

The kitchen is a 7-foot area on both sides of the net. Players cannot hit a volley while standing inside the kitchen unless the ball has bounced outside of it.
